A walk is enough

People will sell you a better morning. Charts. Cold water. A person you aren’t yet. Here is something older: go outside. Even if it’s only to the corner and back.

A walk doesn’t fix a life. It returns you to one. Feet, air, the same street wearing a different light. The heron in the stream isn’t improving itself. It’s standing in the water. That’s enough.

If you’re tired, walk slowly. If you’re angry, walk until the sentence in your mouth gets shorter. If you’re sad, walk as if the ground is allowed to hold you.

This is how a day comes back to you. Not with a plan. With motion that doesn’t ask you to become famous.
