A small site about getting a bit better at everyday life — habits, focus, rest, and being decent to yourself. Written under the pen name C.S.
How this started
It started as a Facebook page. I liked making pictures of sunrises and sunsets and putting one line under each of them. People kept sharing them, then replying to them, and a few of the replies were long. That was the hint that a picture and a sentence weren’t quite enough. This site is the longer version.
What’s here
Articles on habits, productivity, mindfulness, and looking after yourself, written to be used rather than admired. Short true stories about ordinary people who did one hard, good thing, with sources linked. The quotes from the page. A gallery of skies, most of them AI-made and labelled as such, with the downloadable ones free as wallpapers. And a Help page with real phone numbers, because a website is the wrong place to be when things are actually bad.
Who C.S. is
C.S. is a pen name. There is one person behind it, not a team, and no photo on purpose. The point of the site isn’t me. If you want to reach me, hello@chasing-sunsets.ca gets read.
How it’s made
I use AI tools. The images are mostly generated, and each one says so where it appears. Articles are drafted with AI assistance, then cut, checked, and rewritten by me before they go up. If something reads like it was pasted straight out of a chatbot, that’s a mistake and I’d like to hear about it.
Money
Everything here is free to read and download, and it will stay that way. The site pays for itself, when it does, through a small shop and through affiliate links to things I’d recommend anyway. Any page with one of those links says so at the top. There are no donation asks, here or on the Facebook page, and your email is never sold.
What this isn’t
Not therapy, not medical advice, not a crisis line. If you’re in a bad place tonight, the Help page has people who are trained for exactly that, and I’d rather you called one of them than read another article.
